“Dulci” is a lovely 7 year old, 16.2 hand Percheron/Thoroughbred cross mare with great feet and lots of bone. She was professionally started under saddle and was in doing great in her foxhunter training program when she sustained a pasture accident last year and injured the tendons in her right hind leg. The injury is fully rehabbed, and Dulci may eventually be sound enough for light riding, but she is field-sound now and looking for a new career as a broodmare.

If I had the room on my farm, I would jump at the chance to breed Dulci–she is everything you could ask for in a broodmare with her personable, sweet and inquisitive temperament, outstanding, uphill conformation, floaty movement, and ever-popular draft-cross breeding. She gets along with everyone in turnout, is quiet in a stall (although she prefers to be outside), is easy to work with, has no vices,no history of colic, loads, cross-ties, etc.

Dulci represents a great opportunity to add quality to an existing breeding program, or would be lots of fun for an amateur to breed at home. A lease-to-own situation is possible–please contact for more details.
