“Hombrecito” is a 7 year old, 15.2 hand Thoroughbred gelding with stunning dapple-grey coloring and a handsome look through the bridle. After a short and unremarkable career on the racetrack (during which he raced only ten times and never won, placed or showed) he was given a nice long letdown before beginning his retraining with a Parelli professional.

Hombrecito is lovely to live with—he has no vices, is quiet in a stall or in the field (although he prefers to be out), gets along with other geldings, is good for the farrier and vet and has wonderful ground manners. He cross-ties, loads and travels great. No known injuries, allergies, or history of colic. He has great feet and is in front shoes.

Hombrecito is currently cantering small jumps, putting together short courses in the ring and working on dressage basics. He loves to trail ride and has seemingly unlimited potential as an eventer, dressage partner or field hunter—his short-coupled, uphill build makes him look like he could jump anything. He is a forward-thinking type of guy more than a “push” ride, and is best suited for a rider who has experience with OTTBs and/or one who likes a horse who will take you to the jumps! Hombrecito is a really sweet and affectionate guy who likes to be with people and deserves his own person to love him and develop his talent. He is in a professional program, current on all vaccines, chiropractic and dental care, has a current coggins and is ready to go! Delivery is available and a good home is the owner’s priority.
