“Mingo” is an adorable 14.3 hand, 5 year old, coal black gelding with a kind eye and a “born broke” disposition. He is a homebred Paint/QH cross, not registered. Mingo is GREAT on the trail–leads, follows, crosses water, not spooky or overly forward. He has been started in the foxhunting field with a junior rider and is showing great promise as a field hunter. In the ring, Mingo w/t/c in both directions, started over cross rails, is easy to mount and straightforward to ride. He did great at his first horse show, where he got some impressive scores in his Introductory Level dressage tests. Still very green but plenty willing and safe, he has excellent ground manners, loads/trailers/ties, gets along with everyone in the field and can live in or out. Wonderful project for an experienced amateur or junior to bring along, fancy enough for a show career, versatile enough to do a little bit of everything! He is totally sound with no maintenance. Price expected to increase quickly when he is introduced to showing and has more hunt miles, so snap him up now!
